Donald out for a week

Waikato player Stephen Donald has been suspended for one week after being red-carded in the Air New Zealand Cup match between Waikato and Northland at Waikato Stadium on Saturday.

Donald appeared before a New Zealand Rugby Union judicial committee hearing in Wellington yesterday after being sent off for a dangerous tackle.

He was given a yellow card by referee Keith Brown for a dangerous tackle in the 15th minute of the first half and was then sent off for a similar offence in the fourth minute of the second half.
