Brian Roche, who took over as acting chairman of Rugby New Zealand (RNZ) 2011 Ltd last year, has been confirmed today as the organisation's chairman.
Roche assumed the role as acting chairman of the group responsible for the delivery of Rugby World Cup 2011 in May after health concerns forced former chairman Jock Hobbs to step aside. Hobbs resigned in December last year.
Roche, who is also chief executive of New Zealand Post, was appointed by RNZ's shareholders, the New Zealand Government and the New Zealand Rugby Union.
