South African fullback Percy Montgomery can play in Sunday's rugby test against France after his sending off in Wales last weekend was overturned.
Montgomery was shown a second yellow by referee Stuart Dickinson 10 minutes from time for a high tackle on Shane Williams in the 33-16 win over Wales at Cardiff.
But IRB judicial officer Jeff Blackett adjudged yesterday that the incident leading to Montgomery's first yellow was a legitimate tackle.
Blackett dismissed that punishment and rescinded the red card shown to the fullback, who kicked nine points against the Six Nations champions at the Millennium Stadium.
