KEY POINTS:
All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu is set to become a father for the first time early next year after revealing his girlfriend is pregnant, Britain's Times Online website reported today.
Lomu, who is in England for a charity rugby match, told the Times Online he's ecstatic about his impending fatherhood.
"It's fantastic. Nadene, my girlfriend, is five months pregnant. I don't care if it's a boy or a girl," he said.
Lomu was photographed with 27-year-old Nadene Quirk in March, a few months after announcing he and wife Fiona were "taking time out" after 4 1/2 years of marriage.
Lome is set to play for the International XV against the Help for Heroes XV in a match organised to raise money for the rehabilitation of British service personnel injured in the ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The blockbusting winger is looking forward to locking horns with some old adversaries, including England greats Martin Johnson, Lawrence Dallaglio, Jason Robinson.
"It'll be great to see some old faces again and play at Twickenham," he told the Times Online.
"The last time I was there [for Johnson's testimonial in June 2005] I wrecked my shoulder in the first five minutes, popped it back in five times but had to come off at half-time.
"I'll be giving it my all. I did three sessions on Sunday before getting on the plane. But if they just want me to bring on the oranges at half-time, I'd be more than happy."
