Jonah Lomu is one of six New Zealand players named for the Barbarians' matches against Wales, Scotland and England this month.
The others are Auckland's Robin Brooke, Craig Dowd and Joeli Vidiri, Ian Jones, who announced his retirement from rugby after his season with Gloucester, and Josh Kronfeld.
Hurricanes prop Kevin Yates and French front-rower Christian Califano - who will play for Auckland in the NPC - are also included in a star-studded Barbarians side.
Lomu's manager, Phil Kingsley-Jones, said Lomu's appearance would depend on his recovery from a foot injury.
