KEY POINTS:
Having missed out on a New Zealand 2007 Super 14 rugby contract and unsuccessfully explored a league option in Australia, Jonah Lomu is now looking to South Africa.
Boland Rugby director Rudy Joubert told the Supersport website the Western Cape club had been approached by Lomu's agent.
"From a marketing point of view, Lomu would be very valuable to us," Joubert said.
"However, the money involved in the purchase of a player of that stature may be just too much for us."
