The Blues Women will go into the Super Rugby Aupiki final with confidence after a 41-29 win over Hurricanes Poua in Levin.
- Needing a win to give themselves a chance of hosting next weekend’s final, the Blues got off to a great start with Aldora Ituna scoring just three minutes into the contest.
- Before the 10-minute mark, they led 17-0. However, the hosts fought back to close the margin to just two points before a try late in the half gave the Blues a nine-point lead at the break.
- It was much of the same in the second half as the Blues got off to a fast start with two quick tries, but the Hurricanes took advantage of two yellow cards to the visitors to close the gap again.
