Former All Black and Kiwi Frano Botica will be looking to extend his career just a little bit longer when North Harbour take on Otago in an NPC semifinal at Albany tonight.
The 38-year-old, who first played for the union in 1985, is certain to be a key figure in the game where he will line up against tough-tackling All Black Tony Brown.
Botica played in North Harbour's first match in 1985 - the year they won the newly- created third division.
Now - 16 years on - he could help North Harbour to win their first premier title.
North Harbour's decision to start Botica means that Willie Walker, 15 years Botica's junior, has lost his starting place and must wait for his moment from the bench.
