Wales centre Gavin Henson had his 10-week and two-day ban for elbowing an opponent reduced to seven weeks and two days after an appeal hearing yesterday.
Henson, who was set to sit out three Six Nations championship games, will now be unavailable only for the clash against England at Twickenham on February 5 and against Scotland on February 13.
The Neath-Swansea Ospreys player was cited for elbowing Leicester prop Alex Moreno and aiming a kick at the same player on December 18 in a Heineken Cup match.
He was cleared of the kicking but suspended for the elbowing which broke Moreno's nose.
