George Gregan looks set to remain a thorn in the side of New Zealand rugby teams for at least one more season after extending his contract with the Australian Rugby Union today.
There had been some thought the Wallaby captain could retire after enduring much criticism before and during last month's World Cup as he led Australia to second place.
However, the Australian media reported this afternoon that he has agreed to a new one-year deal with the union to continue his test career.
Gregan is also said to have signed with the ACT Brumbies again for the 2004 Super 12 competition.
