Australia rugby captain George Gregan is set to sign a deal to play for the Wallabies for another three seasons, including the 2007 World Cup in France, according to a Sydney newspaper.
The 31-year-old halfback is Australia's most-capped player with 102 caps, 12 short of the world record held by England prop Jason Leonard. Gregan captained Australia at last year's World Cup where the Wallabies lost to England in the final in Sydney.
"Wallaby captain George Gregan will end speculation about his playing future by signing a new three-year contract with the Australian Rugby Union to take him through to the next World Cup," the Daily Telegraph said.
