The All Blacks have moved to within a whisker of the No 1 spot on the International Rugby Board's world ranking table.
World champion England's 21-24 loss to France over the weekend saw them drop to 90.56 points, still just clear of New Zealand's 90.12.
There is no change in order to the top 20 teams from last week's rankings, although France have climbed to pressure third-ranked Australia.
