KEY POINTS:
The NZRU has refuted claims by a UK newspaper that All Black flanker Jerry Collins has asked to be released from his contract.
The Daily Mail is reporting Collins wants out of New Zealand at the end of the current Super 14, 18 months early.
But a NZRU spokesman says they have had no approach from Collins.
Collins, for his part, is astounded another story about his future has surfaced. He says it has never been a secret he is looking at his options but things are getting crazy.
Collins is asking people to keep everything in perspective. He says he is just considering his options, which is a fact of life.
He denies his loyalties are divided, and says he is entitled to consider his future after ten years doing the same job for the same team in the same city.
Meanwhile Collins is still nursing bruised ribs and has not been named in the Hurricanes team to play the Force this weekend.
