Springbok centre Jaque Fourie has been suspended for four weeks for a dangerous tackle on All Blacks midfield back Ma'a Nonu during the Tri-Nations test in Hamilton last night.
Fourie has been found guilty of a lifting tackle and while not intentional it has been judged to be reckless.
He has been suspended up until and including October 19.
Fourie has indicated that for recovery reasons, he has no intention of playing next week, and therefore the suspension commences from the weekend of 26-27 September.
