Rugby: Evans takes on Black Ferns

Leading Auckland women's rugby and schoolboys coach Brian Evans is the new Black Ferns coach.

He will be assisted by New Zealand schools coach, Grant Hansen.

Evans succeeds Taranaki's Dale Atkins who ensured the Black Ferns went unbeaten in his two years at the helm.

The Black Ferns head for a three-match tour of England in November as part of their build-up to the defence of their world title in 2010.
