Coach Jed Rowlands has made seven personnel and two positional changes to his starting XV for New Zealand's second match at the women's World Cup, against Samoa in Canada tomorrow.
Auckland loose forward Rochelle Martin, who moves from openside flanker to No 8, will captain the side in Edmonton.
In other changes in the forwards, Melissa Ruscoe moves from blindside flanker to openside flanker, Mel Ngatai replaces Diane Maliukaetau at loosehead prop and Fiao'o Fa'amausili comes in at hooker for Farah Palmer.
In the backline, Waimania Teddy and Rebecca Hull replace the inside back pairing of Emma Jensen and Anna Richards.
Victoria Blackledge will make her international debut on the left wing in place of Stephanie Mortimer and Hannah Myers replaces Huriana Manuel at centre.
Two uncapped players, Auckland's Rachel Makata and Otago's Beth Mallard, have been named in the reserves.
Rowlands said the changes reflected the depth of his squad, who opened their campaign by beating Canada 66-7.
"We have only a four-day turnaround from our first game and it is important to manage players during an intense tournament such as the women's rugby World Cup."
