The Black Ferns have been beaten by Canada for the first time, losing 22-19 in Christchurch.
- The Black Ferns went ahead 14-3 in the first half with two tries through wing Katelyn Vahaakolo.
- Canada closed the gap to 14-10 at halftime, before taking over in the second half.
- Canada got out to a 22-14 lead, before a late try through Patricia Maliepo gave the Black Ferns closed the gap.
- The visitors were able to hold on, however, closing out an historic win.
