EDINBURGH - A late penalty try gave Argentina a 23-19 victory over Scotland this morning (NZT).
The home side led 16-6 early in the second half before Argentina fought back to score their fifth successive victory over Scotland, playing for the first time under coach Frank Hadden since his full-time appointment.
Winger Francisco Leonelli scored in the corner before Scotland number eight Simon Taylor was sin-binned for deliberately slowing down the ball in a ruck in the final quarter.
With Scotland down to 14 men and leading 19-16, Argentina pressurised the Scotland line and they were finally awarded a penalty try.
First five-eighths Frederico Todeschini converted to take his points tally to 13. First five-eighths Dan Parks scored Scotland's only try in the first half plus a drop goal, and fullback Chris Paterson kicked three penalties and a conversion.
