PRETORIA - All Blacks lock Ali Williams and Springboks captain John Smit have both been cited for alleged foul play after New Zealand's 45-26 win in today's Tri-Nations rugby test here.
Both were cited for allegedly striking an opponent and will face a Sanzar judicial hearing within the next two days, a South African Rugby Football Union spokesman said.
Television replays showed Williams throwing a punch at Springboks lock Johann Muller while Smit was involved in a scuffle with All Blacks captain Richie McCaw which left McCaw with a bloodied nose.
The two players were not penalised by Irish referee Alan Lewis.
