The return of All Blacks Isaia Toeava and Doug Howlett to the outside backs is the main talking point of Graham Henry's starting 15 for Saturday's the Tri-Nations match against Australia.
Hurricanes player Toeava comes in at centre for Mils Muliaina who moves to fullback.
On the wing, Howlett comes in for Rico Gear, who will sit out the Eden Park clash.
Leon McDonald is in the reserves, where halfback Piri Weepu replaces Jimmy Cowan while Byron Kelleher gets another start.
In the forwards, Jason Eaton will start the match with Ali Williams dropping to the reserves.
Henry said Toeava was ready for his first start of the Tri-Nations.
"He is a talented young man and the challenge of starting at centre against Australia is the next step in his development."
Muliaina's move to fullback after a successful run at centre would not affect the team.
"We have a number of players in good form which gives us options," Henry said.
"This move bolsters our options at fullback, keeps Leon MacDonald fresh, and makes room for Isaia in the starting line-up."
Of the 30-man squad, only halfback Jimmy Cowan was not considered for selection because of an ankle injury.
