The All Blacks have played the Springboks in 84 Tests since 1921 with 47 victories to the All Blacks, 34 to South Africa, and three draws. The All Blacks currently have a 55.95 percent winning record over the Springboks, which is the lowest winning percentage they have against all rugby nations.
The Springboks last lost at home to the All Blacks in 2010, at the same venue in Soweto this weekend's match will be played at. In the most recent clash played in South Africa between these two sides, the Springboks won 18-5 in Port Elizabeth last year.
The All Blacks are currently on a 15 match un-beaten run, with their most recent loss having come against Australia in last year's Tri-Nations competition.
If the All Blacks can win this game it will give Richie McCaw his 100th test victory ,and make him the first player to ever achieve this feat.
McCaw is also captaining his 75th test match, becoming just one of three players to have done so (John Smit and Brian O'Driscoll have both captained 83 tests for South Africa and Ireland respectively).
