The All Blacks last played Australia in the semifinal of last year's Rugby World Cup, winning 20-6. The Wallabies won the last game played on Australia soil, with a 25-20 victory in Brisbane in August 2011.
Fifty test matches between New Zealand and Australia have been played in Sydney, and the last two games were very close affairs with the All Blacks winning by a solitary point in both 2009 (19-18) and 2010 (23-22).
The All Blacks' highest winning score against the Wallabies in Sydney came in 2003 when they won 50-21. The Wallabies have also had their highest winning score over the All Blacks in Sydney, with a 34-19 victory in 2008.
So far in 2012 the All Blacks have won all three of their test matches (v Ireland) scoring 15 tries in their tally of 124 points, while conceding just 29 points.
