It looks like tickets for the first All Blacks' test of the year are hotly sought after, despite the fact the selectors have made it clear that the team might not be the top line 15.
Tickets for the game against Ireland in Hamilton went on sale this morning. Waikato union CEO Gary Dawson says there has been a lot of interest, including inquiries from Ireland.
He expects the game to sell out, regardless of the fact that some top players will probably not play, as fans seem to accept the rationale behind the selection strategy and still see the team as the All Blacks, no matter what.
Around 2,000 tickets have been made available to local clubs, with the remaining 14,000 available to the public. Tickets went on sale from 9am today.
