KEY POINTS:
The immediate concern for Scotland is that they pay their power bill, but then perhaps they would have done better in the dark.
Yesterday all in sundry had points to offer, the best and possibly the worst was one local papers' selection of Stephen Donald as player of the day.
I put his performance up there with the man in charge of lighting at Murrayfield on Sunday (NZT).
But we did see Scotland knock solidly on the door and to be fair Chris Paterson could not have done much more to help narrow the gap.
The truth is that Scotland scored 6 points. Let's not forget that small matter, very small in fact.
You cannot in all seriousness spend the majority of the televised coverage looking like you're doing well only to trudge off the paddock with 6 points.
The All Blacks simply worked the Scots into the ground, by moving it from sideline to sideline so it was inevitable that fatties were going to be found in the middle of the paddock with their Sporrans hanging out.
Scotland can be accused of being unimaginative close to the line, but the greenhorn All Blacks were desperate enough not to let them in.
Oh and one other thing...
Wayne Barnes:
Forward passes - yes there were a few.
Reset Scrums - till the cows came home.
And again more evidence that although he maybe the shining star of international referring; as anointed by St Patrick, he's about as inspiring as the English winter sun.
So I guess it's not just Scotland that's got a problem with lighting.
