Sam Whitelock is putting his faith in the All Blacks coaches to manage his work-load over the next four years.
The lock forward and number eight Kieran Read have both re-signed with the New Zealand Rugby Union through until the end of 2017, but haven't had sabbaticals written into their contracts.
Whitelock says he has only been playing professional rugby for four years and his body isn't as beaten up as others are.
"I'm keen to just get out there and play. But in saying that, if the time comes I'm sure all the coaches and that can look after you.''
Whitelock will join up with the All Blacks squad in Dunedin tomorrow as they start preparations for Saturday's third and final Bledisloe Cup test.
