Discarded All Black Adam Thomson's given the biggest indication yet that he'll join the Crusaders for next year's Super 15.
Thomson was overlooked for the All Blacks Tri-Nations squad and is instead in the Commonwealth Games sevens squad.
The blindside flanker is still undecided about whether he'll move from the Highlanders, but he says he needs a strong team to improve his game.
He says there are positive signs in the south and things are shaking up down there and they've got some good ideas, so he believes they'll be an improved side.
But Thomson's indicated the Crusaders are the front-runners by saying he needs the team that will give him the best chance of being in the World Cup squad.
The Sevens squad completes a two day training camp in Auckland today.
