If history is anything to go by, the Wallabies chances of rolling over the All Blacks at Eden Park this weekend are slim to none.

Even putting aside their disastrous performance last week, and the fact they have lost inspirational skipper David Pocock - the Wallabies record against the All Blacks at Eden Park is abysmal.

Since the last time the Wallabies beat the All Blacks at the ground 26 years ago they have lost 13 games in a row there.

And the two most recent New Zealand wins - 20-6 in the Rugby World Cup, and 30-14 in the Tri Nations - have produced two of the biggest score lines over that period.

There is some pretty damning data to support the Wallabies' Eden Park hoodoo; here are some of our favourite stats.

• In the 14 games played at Eden Park since 1986 the All Blacks have scored 143 more points than their trans-tasman rivals - at an average of ten points a match.

• The All Blacks have successfully kicked 60 penalties against the Wallabies at Eden Park since 1986 - while the Aussies have managed just 27.

• In the last four matches between the sides at Eden Park the All Blacks have scored 111 points while conceding only 46.

- In the four tests Dan Carter has played against Australia at Eden Park (2006, 2007, 2008, 2011) he has scored more points than the entire Wallabies combined (74-72).

• Saturday night represents the 82nd Test to have been played by New Zealand at Eden Park. The All Blacks have won 69 of these.

The closest Australia has come to breaking their 26-year duck came in 1991, when they lost by just three points.

But Australia shouldn't feel too hard on themselves, no side has beaten the All Blacks at Eden Park in 18 years, since France prevailed 23-20 in 1994.

The one strand of good news for the Wallabies is that the last time they played at Eden Park they won - beating Wales 21-18 in the 2011 World Cup playoff for third and fourth.

It would take a brave man to bet against the All Blacks on Saturday night but the TAB is offering $6 odds for anyone who fancies a history breaking upset.
