KEY POINTS:
Former Springboks captain Gary Teichman believes the All Blacks are simply street wise and are not resorting to illegal scum tactics.
Springboks coach Peter de Villiers added fuel to the fire ahead of the second test in Dunedin, claiming Tony Woodcock resorted to underhand scrummaging tactics in Wellington.
However, Teichman says the All Blacks simply wheeled the scrum and then put a second shove on. He says the Springboks should have hit up front in the beginning and not allowed the All Blacks to get the wheel on.
As for the Springbok team for the second test, Teichman is calling for de Villiers to stick with the same side for Saturday's second test against the All Blacks in Dunedin.
That would be apart from the captain John Smit who is on his way home with Bismark du Plessis set to start at hooker.
The critics have been out in force in the Republic following Saturday's loss in Wellington but Teichman does not want to see wholesale changes.
He says they changed too much in the build up to the Tri Nations.
Teichman was captain of the Boks between 1995 and 1999.
The Springbok team will be named on Thursday.
