KEY POINTS:
Former Counties-Manuakau midfielder Sean Lineen has joined the Scotland coaching staff as they prepare for November's rugby clash with the All Blacks at Murrayfield.
The New Zealand-born midfield back, son of former All Black Terry Lineen, played 29 tests for Scotland from 1989.
Lineen, who coaches Glasgow Warriors, previously coached Scotland A in tandem with former England coach Andy Robinson.
Scotland head coach Frank Hadden today said on the scottishrugby.org website that both Robinson and Lineen would be involved in Scotland selection for the November test matches.
As well as New Zealand on November 8, Scotland play South Africa (November 15) and Canada (November 22).
"I believe it's important that the men who see the players on a daily basis are involved in selection. I will also be tapping into Sean's intimate knowledge of New Zealand rugby and making use of his experience in that regard during the autumn tests," Hadden said.
"Sean will also be involved as a specialist coach, much like Duncan Hodge our kicking analyst, during the autumn games."
Last month, former All Blacks captain Mike Brewer signed on with Scotland as their forwards coach, while former Ireland assistant coach Graham Steadman is defence coach.
The All Blacks' test against Scotland will be followed by internationals against Ireland, Wales and England.
