Rugby records the All Blacks don't hold

The All Blacks made it 18 straight test wins with Saturday's victory over the Wallabies. With the win they now hold the record for most consecutive victories by a 'tier one' team, but they are still six short of matching Cyprus for the actual record.

Kieran Read did break a record on Saturday however, reaching 19 consecutive test wins as skipper.

Here are six other team records in rugby that the All Blacks do not hold.

Most wins in a calendar year - 16
This is held by the 2003 England team who played 17 tests that year as they went onto win the Rugby World Cup. Their only defeat of that season came against France, a 17-16 loss in Marseille. During that run England defeat New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, France, Wales, Italy, Scotland, Georgia, Samoa and Uruguay. The most the All Blacks have won in a calendar year is 14, in 2013.

The current side can tie that record of the 2003 All Blacks if they win their remaining games against Ireland (twice), Italy and France.

Most points in a calendar year - 658
Another record held by World Cup winner. The Springboks scored 658 points during the 2007 season as they went onto claim the William Webb Ellis trophy for a second time. Like England in 2003, South Africa played 17 tests that season.

The 2003 All Blacks sit fourth on the list with 602 points, from just 14 tests. The current All Blacks side have scored 420 from their 10 tests this season. They would need to average 60 points over their final four tests to break the record.

Most team tries in a calendar year - 92
This is a surprising one. It's held by the 2003 Argentina side which scored 92 tries in 14 tests, 11 of which were victories. That's an average of 6.57 tries a test helped by a 144-0 thrashing of Paraguay which included 24 tries, nine scored by Nunez Piossek.

The 2003 All Blacks sit second on the list with 81 tries from 14 tests.

The current All Blacks side have scored 60 tries from 10 tests and would need eight tries a game in their remaining four tries to tie the record.

Most consecutive wins by greater than a converted try - 14
Damn you Cyprus, overshadowing the All Blacks yet again. During their record run of 24 consecutive test wins, Cyprus also went 14 straight tests with a winning margin of more than a converted try. Brazil sit second on the list with 13 straight tests.

The current All Blacks side have gone 11 straight tests with a win by more than a converted try, going back to the Rugby World Cup semifinal against South Africa won 20-18.

Most consecutive matches scoring four of more tries 11
Cyprus again. South Africa (1997-1998) and Japan (2001-2003) scored four or more tries in 10 straight tests.

The current All Blacks side have also gone 10 straight scoring four or more tries. They can tie the record if the cross the tryline four times in Chicago against Ireland.

Most consecutive wins away from home - 12
This record goes to rugby powerhouse Brazil. They won 12 straight on the road between 2006 and 2008. Over an even longer stretch, Argentina went 11 straight away wins from 1936 to 1964.

The current All Blacks have gone 10 straight away wins. They can break the record on the upcoming end of year tour.
