Richie McCaw's only complication in returning to rugby appears to be getting an appointment for surgery on his broken thumb.
Medics think McCaw will need two months to recover from an operation to insert a screw in his broken left thumb.
He has seen a specialist and had images taken on the damage but finding a specialist in Christchurch to perform the operation is proving more difficult.
General opinion is that McCaw will be primed for a Super rugby return after the Crusaders bye in round 11.
