Both the All Blacks and the Springboks have been hit by injuries in the lead-up to Saturday's Tri-Nations rugby test in Christchurch.
Fullback Leon MacDonald, who missed the All Blacks' previous test against Australia in Melbourne with a groin problem, has been ruled out of Saturday's match.
The Springboks will be without tour captain Bobby Skinstad (broken ribs) and lock Johan Ackermann (calf). They will be replaced in the squad by Gerrie Britz.
The All Blacks team for the match is scheduled to be named today (eds/subs: 1.30pm) and the Springboks side will be announced tomorrow (1pm).
