The Hurricanes have lost key Super 14 rugby players, Hosea Gear and Scott Waldrom, who will return home from South Africa this week to recover from injuries.
Winger Gear suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury to his left knee during the 38-32 win over the Lions on the weekend.
The All Black is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks.
Flanker Waldrom suffered an abdominal muscle strain in training and is unlikely to be considered for selection until the Stormers match in Wellington on April 18.
No replacement players will be called upon, as the Hurricanes prepare for this weekend's match against the Sharks in Durban.
