Former All Blacks halfback Danny Lee has signed to play for Welsh franchise the Newport Gwent Dragons on a two-year deal.
Lee, 32, ended his New Zealand career late last year when Hawke's Bay were eliminated from the Air NZ Cup. He said he would then seek an overseas contract.
"Danny's been a proven performer at the highest level in New Zealand rugby over the past few years," said Dragons head coach Paul Turner.
"As a former All Black, Danny brings a tremendous pedigree and experience to the region and not only will he be a valued addition to the side, but we are confident that he will help develop our emerging scrum halves."
Lee scored a try on his All Blacks debut against England in 2002.
A well-travelled Super rugby career saw him represent the Hurricanes, Chiefs and Blues.
