One of New Zealand rugby's best utility backs of the 1950s and 60s, Tony Davies, died in Sydney on Sunday, aged 68.
Davies had lengthy representative careers for Auckland, Otago and New Zealand Universities.
He played 52 games for Auckland between 1958 and 1967 and 39 games for Otago in the 1961-64 seasons, having transferred to Dunedin for his medical studies.
Davies brought his All Black appearances to 17 when he played the last two tests against Australia in 1962 as a second five.
