Jimmy Cowan has ended speculation he is heading overseas by resigning with the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) for another three years, the NZRU announced today.
The 25-year-old halfback has committed to New Zealand until the end of 2010 and will continue playing for Southland and the Highlanders.
Cowan, who is currently playing for the Junior All Blacks in the Pacific Nations Cup, made his debut for the All Blacks in 2004 and has played nine tests.
He began playing for Southland in 2000 and also represented New Zealand at Under 19 and Under 21 level.
