Ngani Laumape 7
Wonder pass in the Barrett try, scooping ball to Lienert-Brown in Farrell/Davies tackle. Hope springs..the new Nonu.
Julian Savea 7
Muffed an early chance but the best power running we've seen from an All Black wing in the series.
Beauden Barrett 6
World's best? Some real highs, lots of brave running. But command dodgy, goalkicking erratic, poor second half kick-off started the rot. Out of sync all series.
Aaron Smith 7
Usual efficient passing, and fine kicking. Tried to run but didn't get far. Flat Lions defence has been able to nullify his bullet passing.
Kieran Read 7
Captaincy has not stood out in this series. Willing ball runner on his 100th test. Head ding after 30 minutes. As for his post-game speeches...run for cover.
Sam Cane 6
Adequate, plenty of defence, but didn't get close to Lions ball and one big spill.
Jerome Kaino 5
Poor swinging arm tackle on Jones cost yellow card. Great stand up steal from Faletau. Played hard, but only fair results this time.
Sam Whitelock 7
Suspect the petrol was running out but he flung himself into the game, won a vital turnover - no easy matter against these ball secure Lions.
Brodie Retallick 7
A few decent charges, but everything pales against his first test classic.
Owen Franks 6
The scrum really tested the Lions but one of his clunkier tests around the field. Loads of defence.
Codie Taylor 6
Rapid fire throws helped his lineout. Willing. But in the final analysis, well short of Dane Coles who is a key to All Black supremacy.
Joe Moody 6
One scrambling tackle on Murray the highlight. Strong scrums, not enough ball running.
Reserves
Nathan Harris (Taylor, 73m) 4
Coaches don't show a lot of faith in him - another token gesture.
Wyatt Crockett (Moody, 58m) 5
The penalty magnet strikes again - won and gave up vital late penalties.
Charlie Faumuina (Franks, 58m) 5
So many tests, yet still leaves a sense of what might have been.
Scott Barrett (Whitelock, 78m) -
Ditto Harris. Famed All Black impact strategy fell flat.
Ardie Savea (Cane, 61m) 5
Will struggle to reach this level of anonymity again.
TJ Perenara (Smith, 74m) 4
Almost fatal error - Lions robbed his scrum ball while he flapped about for ref.
Aaron Cruden (J. Savea, 73m) 5
Part of a re-shuffle which achieved nothing.
Malakai Fekitoa (Laumape, 67m) 6
A decent little burst.
Lions
Liam Williams 6
Dropped high balls, other errors, tried an annoying Hollywood, but made the match-saving tackle on Jordie Barrett.
Anthony Watson 8
Probably best of the series for the impressively elusive Watson - lots of running in stop-start match and victim of rough forward pass call.
Jonathan Davies 7
About as solid as solid gets. Mr Reliable, pressured Jordie Barrett into his only big mistake.
Owen Farrell 7
Gets a moderate pass but only for his impressive goalkicking. Won strong turnover off Dagg near the end.
Elliot Daly 7
Booming penalty got Lions on the right second half track. One amazing high ball catch, one big blooper.
Johnny Sexton 6
Spent a lot of the game getting medical treatment, which helped Lions cause. Brave but ineffective.
Conor Murray 7
Odd poor pass, but some great kicking from rucks.
Taulupe Faletau 7
On one hand, heavily involved. On the other, lacks that top drawer physical impact.
Sean O'Brien 5
Not up to his second test stunner and departed early, after taking shoulder hit from Kaino.
Sam Warburton 7
Battled hard at the breakdowns - drawn series in New Zealand will enhance his captaincy reputation.
Alun Wyn Jones 7
An engine room stalwart - a man who makes the very most of his abilities. Took head knock.
Maro Itoje 8
Wow, what a start. Couldn't carry it on totally, but still strong and a world rugby giant in the making.
Tadhg Furlong 6
Some monster moments around the field but that Lions scrum creaked.
Jamie George 5
Faded after a great tour - even his lineout throwing wobbled.
Mako Vunipola 7
They say he can't scrum but he forced a load of tackles out of the All Blacks, without going far.
Reserves
Ken Owens (George, 70m) 5
Just doesn't excite as a test impact forward. Better than Dylan Hartley? Really?
Jack McGrath (Vunipola, 61m) 5
Slightly disappointing end to a slightly disappointing tour.
Kyle Sinckler (Furlong, 61m) 5
Second test hot head had cooled down, a bit too much.
Courtney Lawes (Jones, 49m) 5
Arrived as potential star, left in Itoje's shadow.
CJ Stander 5 (O.Brien, 41m) 5
Failed to fire.
Rhys Webb (Murray, 69m) 6
Milked tying penalty, but hasty pass wrecked long range try and win chance after pinching scrum ball.
Ben Te'o (Sexton, 73m) 5
Big man turned into a bit part.
Jack Nowell (Watson, 73m) 4
Nothing doing. Maybe Watson was tired...one of those strange modern day subs.
