Highlanders captain Anton Oliver has been given a six-week recovery period for the strained calf muscle he suffered against the Crusaders last weekend.
That would rule him out of the All Black trial, the test against Fiji, Otago's match against the Lions and probably the first test against the Lions on June 25.
Highlanders doctor Stu McMain said results of scans on Oliver's leg confirmed the initial diagnosis.
"The results didn't contain any surprises for us, so Anton will be out for six weeks as he goes through the rehabilitative period."
Oliver has been the form hooker in the Super 12.
