The November revenue sharing test between the All Blacks and England could still yet be scuppered by court action.
English clubs and the Rugby Football Union still have not come to a resolution over a player release for the extra test match.
Premier Rugby Chief Executive Mark McCafferty, who represents the clubs, says the courts still need to clarify whether the clubs are obliged to release players.
A judgement will be made next week.
McCafferty says if the court finds in their favour and they are not obliged to release players, the game will either be cancelled or they will have to return to the negotiating table.
He points out that returning to the negotiating table does not necessarily mean they will reach a simple solution, as the test match weekend means the rescheduling of a full round of the Premiership.
He says they tried to reach a compromise for this one-off test by having the RFU concede ground on other club issues, but to no avail.
