KEY POINTS:
It was "typical Munster", pushing the All Blacks to a cliff hanger of a win in a low scoring game, says former All Black Stu Wilson.
The winger was part of the All Black side that lost to the men from Munster in 1978, despite winning a Grand Slam tour of the UK.
Wilson was full of praise for the Munster side who showed 80 minutes of passion in this morning's game at Thomond Park - the same ground that Wilson's team lost at 30 years ago.
"It was typical Munster, wasn't it? It was a great effort by the hosts," Wilson said.
He said a lot of the young All Blacks on tour got a "taste of reality".
"That's what it's like. Munster put them under pressure and they made a lot of errors but they still managed to win the game," Wilson said.
He said some of the younger players will be asking themselves if they have done enough to warrant further selection.
"You've got to look at someone like Jamie McIntosh and the errors that he made - not once - but probably half a dozen times, they all made errors.
"The idea at this level is you have got to reduce your error rate and guys realise now that even a Munster side with none of their star players playing, they're hard to beat unless you get your mind and body correct," Wilson said.
