The Otago Rugby Union (ORU) will consider installing temporary seating for next month's All Blacks rugby test against Wales in Dunedin as the final 6000 tickets went on general sale this morning.
More than 22,000 tickets had been pre-sold ahead of today's public release of the remaining tickets in the 28,000-capacity Carisbrook, which hosts its final test on June 19 before the new Dunedin stadium is completed for next year's World Cup.
"We're assessing temporary seating options at the moment, as we expect demand from the public for additional tickets," ORU marketing manager Doug McSweeney said in a statement.
The All Blacks have won 30 of their 36 tests at Carisbrook.
The Dunedin test is the first of a two-match series against Wales, which concludes in Hamilton on June 26.
