The All Blacks have made two changes to their starting line-up for the deciding Tri-Nations test against Australia on Saturday.
Doug Howlett returns on the right wing ahead of Rico Gear, who disappointed in the 31-27 victory over South Africa last week.
The other change sees flanker Sione Lauaki start in place of the suspended Jerry Collins.
"We thought the fresh player would be a good option this week," said All Blacks coach Graham Henry.
"Doug has played some outstanding rugby for Auckland recently, while Rico has played virtually every Super 12 and Test match since mid-February."
Centre Conrad Smith comes on to the All Blacks bench. Smith last played for the All Blacks in the third Test of the Lions series.
The match against Australia will be the All Blacks' 400th Test. A win would secure the Tri-Nations.
