LONDON - Wales centre Gavin Henson will miss his country's four November rugby internationals, including one against the All Blacks, after surgery on a groin injury.
Henson, who was one of the outstanding players in Wales' Six Nations grand slam triumph last season, underwent surgery in Germany last week.
A statement from his Welsh regional side Ospreys said Henson would spend the next eight weeks in rehabilitation before returning to the field at the end of November.
Wales meet New Zealand in Cardiff on November 5 local time followed by tests against Fiji, South Africa and Australia.
