Grant Fox: All Blacks will make small tweaks for final test

All Blacks selector Grant Fox has said they will make small tweaks, but not wholesale changes despite clinching a series win over Wales last night.

Speaking to Tony Veitch on Newstalk ZB, Fox said they were still assessing the injury damage of last night's game, but would look to give players an opportunity to prove themselves next weekend in Dunedin.

"Obviously we want to keep building momentum," Fox said.

"But it is likely that we will give players a little bit more of an opportunity perhaps than we did in the first two."

Hometown hero Lima Sopoaga is yet to play his second Test for the All Blacks, however an injury to Aaron Cruden last night could mean the Highlanders first-give gets a nod.

New All Blacks Damian McKenzie and Elliot Dixon are also eager to get their international careers underway.

"You gotta find out about them, and the best way to find out about them is to chuck them in," Fox said.

"A few tweaks, yes. But there certainly won't be wholesale changes."

A start for McKenzie is highly unlikely considering the return to form of Israel Dagg, who scored the opening try in his 50th Test last night.

Fox said Dagg's energy in the dressing room before the game was infectious and his performance was superb.

"I thought he was excellent," Fox said.

"All the boys in the dressing room afterwards were really pleased for him."
