KEY POINTS:
The New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) has appointed a new rugby operations manager to oversee all tournaments and competitions.
Englishman Simon Jelowitz, 33, will join the NZRU in May from the International Rugby Board (IRB) where he is tournaments manager.
He replaces Neil Sorensen, who became the NZRU's professional rugby manager last month.
Jelowitz had been responsible for IRB under-19 and under-21 world championships, 2007 World Cup 2007 qualifying matches and this year's women's World Cup.
His new role will see him manage all NZRU matches, competitions and tournaments, including the All Blacks domestic tests, the Super 14, Air New Zealand Cup and Heartland Championship.
