Crusaders coach Robbie Deans is putting on a brave face over the NZRU's plans to rest players during the first seven weeks of next year's Super 14.
The Crusaders will be the worst affected, losing seven players.
Deans has agreed with the plans, and says they have been aware of what was coming for some time and they support it, given that the target is for the All Blacks to win the World Cup.
As far as the Crusaders are concerned, Deans does not like to say their chances of winning will be reduced, but does say it will certainly give others a chance.
