Kiwi rugby sensation Dan Carter has been rubbing shoulders with global music sensation Sir Elton John.
Carter, who is in New York, tweeted a photo of himself grinning alongside Sir Elton backstage at Madison Square Garden last night.
"Not every day you get to meet a legend like this #eltonjohn #humbled," he captioned the picture.
Carter also posted images of the performance throughout the concert, one of two shows Sir Elton and his band were playing at the venue during a 13-city American tour to promote their new album The Diving Board.
The All Black is on holiday in the US with teammates Richie McCaw, Israel Dagg, Aaron Smith, Ma'a Nonu, Liam Messam and Sam Whitelock, who have been keeping fans up to date with their trip.
