Cory Jane's wife's touching message: 'It's been one hell of a ride so far and I'm certain it isn't over'

Cory Jane's wife Amie has sent her unlucky husband a touching message after he missed out on Rugby World Cup selection for the All Blacks on Sunday.

Here's what she wrote on her Facebook page:

"My husband..., How can I put into words what you mean to me! Success and achievements have never come easy, but that hasn't stopped you ... it didn't even slow you down! I am proud beyond words of all that you do. You've shown such strength and honour, pride and passion! You've pushed your body past so many boundaries and even though you have the best sense of humour you are so mentally and emotionally strong.

"It wasn't the outcome we had hoped for today but you gave it your best and that's all I could ask for. It's been one hell of a ride so far and I'm certain it isn't over. So go out there and wear that Lions jersey with pride, rip it up, have some fun and we'll see where that takes us."

Her message followed Jane's fears this could be the end of the road for his international career.

Injury played a part in the 32-year-old outside back's World Cup snub, who has played 53 tests for the All Blacks.

Jane also had to miss the Super Rugby final with the Hurricanes.
