Springboks hooker Bismarck du Plessis will face the Sanzar judiciary today after he was cited for an alleged eye gouge on All Blacks flanker Adam Thomson.
Du Plessis was cited by Citing Commissioner Dick Byres for an incident in last night's Tri Nations match at Carisbrook, Dunedin.
He has been charged under law 10.4 (k) for alleged contact with the eyes or eye area of Thomson in the 11th minute of the first half.
Du Plessis is to appear before Sanzar judicial officer Kim Garling today.
No time has yet been set for the hearing.
