Bledisloe tickets in hot demand on resale sites

Though tickets to Saturday's Bledisloe Cup decider have sold out, there are plenty available through resale websites - if you've got the cash.

Today on Trade Me there were 16 auctions selling tickets, ranging in price for about $100 for one to about $1300 for four tickets to the Eden Park game.

On ticket resale website Viagogo, single tickets were selling for between $196 for a spot in the lower tier of the west stand, and $1400 for a platinum ticket.

The match, which kicks off at 7.35pm on Saturday, is the team's last game on Kiwi soil ahead of the 2015 Rugby World Cup in the United Kingdom.

On September 21 the All Blacks will play Argentina in London, followed by a game against Namibia on September 25 in the English capital.

On October 3, they will play Georgia, in Cardiff, before heading north to play Tonga in Newcastle on October 10.

Auckland Rugby Union Commercial Manager Ross Halpin said public tickets for Saturday's game in Auckland went on sale on June 8, and were all immediately snapped up.

"With only one North Island test match this year, there has been significant demand for tickets for the Bledisloe Cup," he said.

"Those missing out were advised to register for notification of any additional tickets following handbacks by NZ Rugby and hospitality providers.

"A number of tickets have subsequently been released to this waitlist. We do not anticipate any further tickets will be released to the public."

Ahead of Saturday's game, a MetService meteorologist said though a front was approaching New Zealand, and was likely to hit over the weekend, at this stage it was hard to say whether it would rain during the game on Saturday.

"It looks like there's a chance of rain, but Saturday's still a way away.

There's a low pressure system coming from the Tasman which is looking like it will cross over the country this weekend. It'll produce rain in Auckland during the weekend but it's hard to say exactly when," he said.

There was also a chance of wind coming from the south west or south, and at this stage, temperatures could remain cool, or could warm up.

TAB is currently paying $1.22 for an All Blacks win and $4.00 for the Wallabies.
